This weekend I got to capture sweet moments for the Robey family. Mama, Daddy and kiddos were a joy to work with. One reason I enjoy photographing families is because I get to see the love and bonds between a family and this family adores each other. I also got to try out a new prop, an old timey bench! {Homecoming 2012} Abbie Photo Session

I had the pleasure of photographing an adorable high school girl who was the Freshman nominee for Homecoming Queen. In this small Texas town football games are big especially, the Homecoming football game. With all of the festivities from downtown pep rallies and parades to dances and car shows; homecoming is a big deal around here. Sweet Abbie has such a big heart and beautiful family. I had a blast capturing precious moments of her cheering, hugging friends and walking down the field with her daddy on Homecoming. Here is a little sneak peek of her big night!

 

 

Featured Non-Profit!!!

This weeks Featured Non-Profit Organization is Focus on the Family!!!! I love this organization. They are an amazing organization that serves U.S. and International orphans. They show their heart for orphans by finding families for waiting children in the U.S. with their "Wait No More" campaign, they bring awareness to orphans by partnering with several other national ministries calling it, Cry of the Orphan. They also have partnerships with China and South Africa. Lastly, they provide loads of adoption information.

Wiphan is an amazing ministry with a heart and passion for serving the less fortunate. Wiphan Care Ministries is a Zambian-based Christian ministry that provides biblical teaching, skills training and education to widows and orphans in Zambia, Africa who have been devastated by the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

 

 

 

Our mission is to equip widows and orphans for a productive life, offering hope to the hopeless through the love of Jesus Christ.

So, I am sitting here at my computer listening to KLOVE, editing photos, looking around on pinterest and drooling over Etsty photography props and a little boy calls into Klove. He is chit chatting with the radio hosts telling them that he is 5 years old and goes to a prep school, where he lives and so on. They proceed to ask this precious little boy what his favorite thing about Jesus is. His answer at FIVE years old is...

One Twenty Seven

Hi! My name is Rachel and I am so excited to finally be starting my photography business. I love photography. I am a child and family photographer. I adore capturing those precious smiles and sweet spirits of a child and the love of a big happy family!

Where did the name come from?
Well, the name of my business was discovered through my love for His precious ones which led me to this verse, James 1:27 "Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world."
Hence, the One Twenty Seven!

My mission?
My mission is to use my passion for photography to serve orphans, widows and the least of these.
A percentage of every profit One Twenty Seven Photography makes will go to one of my favorite non-profit organizations or ministries that ministers to orphans, foster children, and widows.
